When we decided to buy in Florida our mission was to buy two homes that myself, my wife and my kids would wish to return to year after year. They had to be fabulous, they had to be close to Disney, they had to be gorgeous, they had to luxurious, they had to be unique, they had to be well designed, they had to be well located…….and they had to be PRIVATE AND NOT OVERLOOKED!

Both of our Orlando homes meet all of these requirements and that is why so many families have visited and returned to our Florida homes again and again! Even now after 4 years, when we walk in the front door of either house after the long flight from Ireland, we are still taken aback with the “Wow”factor! After walking in the front door we always head straight to that superb Pool Deck and the privacy. Palm Trees, greenery, beautiful views and no house behind………that is special!

Each home actually had an option for a sixth bedroom but we opted to have five bedrooms instead using the proposed sixth bedroom as second sitting room/den/computer area. Each home is so spacious (3000 Sq. Ft.) that they comfortably accommodate up to 12 people and even with 12 there is still lots of space

Each home has 5.5 Bathrooms including an air conditioned Bathroom on our Pool Deck! This is a great convenience saving a trip through the house. All the bathrooms are luxuriously designed and three even have his/hers wash hand basins.

We have 2 master en suite bedrooms, 1 US king (UK Super King) and 1 US Queen (UK King-Size) plus three twin rooms, two of which are themed at The Abbey and one at Calabay.

We have upgraded many items in this home to provide a truly magical experience for example:

More indepth Description

We will now take you through our beautiful home room by room describing the key features throughout.  (The homes are virtually identical in design and Layout)

SITTING AREA DOWNSTAIRS

Our downstairs Sitting Areas are open-plan and airy with wonderful views through the triple slider on to our Pool Deck and over the Green Areas behind.  They are equipped with a three place Sofa, a two place Love Seat and a Single seat. In addition there is a 28” T.V., Home Cinema system with Surround Sound, ceiling Fan and 2 side tables and one coffee table. It really is delightful and decorated nicely with artificial plants and greenery.

SITTING AREA UPSTAIRS

Our second Sitting Area is upstairs and again is open-plan and airy with wonderful views through the slider over the Conservation Area at The Abbey and Southern Dunes Golf Club at Calabay.  It is equipped with a three place Sofa and a two place Love Seat. In addition there is a T.V., PS2, ceiling Fan and 2 side tables and one coffee table. It also is home to our Computer Station with High Speed Internet, PC and even secure Wi-Fi plus the Playstation 2.

DINING AREA

This is located downstairs in the open area beside the Kitchen and has access to the Pool Deck and covered outside eating area through it’s own slider. The Dining Area seats 8 and also there are 2 stools at our Breakfast Bar.

KITCHEN

Fully fitted kitchen with all appliances such as American fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, percolator, blender, Waste Disposal Unit etc. There are plenty of cabinets for storage so space is not a problem.

BREAKFAST BAR

Located between the kitchen and Dining Area, this has two high stools

LARGE LAUNDRY ROOM

Large washer, Dryer and Ironing board.

DOWNSTAIRS BATHROOM

Contains toilet and WHB.

POOL DECK

Both Decks are at least 30 feet long and 40 plus feet wide and surrounded by hedging for complete privacy. Each Deck is enormous. They even have a Pool Bathroom which is air conditioned.  They are also protected from insects by our Bug Screen. We have a lovely recessed covered Eating Area out here with a cooling Ceiling Fan and great outdoor lighting and underwater lighting in our Pool and Spa. Our Pool Deck is as much fun at night as it is during the day!  A door on the Pool Deck gives you access to the Green Area behind.

GAMES ROOM

Huge room at least 25 x 25 feet. Contains a Table Tennis Table (The Abbey only) , Mizerak Pool Table, Fussball Table and Air Hockey Table.

MASTER BEDROOM DOWNSTAIRS

This a beautiful room with a U.S. King Size bed, two side tables, lights, ceiling fan and Dresser. There is also a TV and DVD player. Leading out of this room brings you to a large clothes area, separate toilet and then in to a wonderful ensuite. This contains his and hers Wash Hand Basins, Tub type bath and huge walk in shower big enough for a football team! The key feature of this room is the access through the slider for that early morning swim.

MASTER BEDROOM UPSTAIRS

Another beautiful room upstairs and across a Mezzanine landing with a U.S. Queen Size bed, two side tables, lights, ceiling fan and Dresser. There is also a TV and DVD player. Leading out of this room brings you to a huge walk in closet, and then in to a large ensuite.

3rd BEDROOM

This is at the top of the stairs and contains twin beds, a bed side table, ceiling fan, chest of drawers and a TV/VCR combination. There is a bathroom with his/hers WHB’s and bath/shower and toilet directly next door.

4th BEDROOM ("Scooby theme at The Abbey)

This is at the end of the corridor and contains twin Scooby Doo beds, a bed side table, ceiling fan, chest of drawers and a TV. There is a bathroom with his/hers WHB’s and bath/shower and toilet directly across the corridor.

5th BEDROOM THEME (Mickey Mouse at The Abbey, SpongeBob at Calabay)

This again is at the end of the corridor and contains themed beds, a bed side table, ceiling fan, chest of drawers and a novelty TV's. There is an ensuite bathroom with his/hers WHB’s.

LOCATION OF THE HOME AND GENERAL INFORMATION

The Abbey is a secure Gated Community located in the prestigious community of West Haven. From Interstate 4 west, exit 58 and keep right onto SR532 into Champion's Gate. Continue through to the T-junction (the CR54 – Loughman/Ronald Reagan Parkway). Turn right and continue and after approx 1/2 a mile, on the left hand side is the entrance to West Haven. The Abbey is at the end of the entrance road off the Roundabout.

Calabay Parc at Tower Lake is a secure Gated Community located close to Haines City. From Interstate 4 west, exit on to Highway 27 South.  Continue past Heart Of Florida Hospital until you see Lowes Superstore on Bates Road on your left.  The Community is only 400 yds on your right on Bates Road.

Both are really beautiful Communities natural areas for wildlife to accumulate.

*Easy access to Interstate 4

*Convenient drive to Orlando Premium Outlets (20/25 mins)

*Championship golf courses are a plenty, Champion's Gate (PGA course designed by Greg Norman),  Southern Dunes to name but two

*Walt Disney World is 10 minutes drive away from The Abbey and 15 mins from Calabay.

*10 minutes to US192 from The Abbey and 15 from Calabay

*Only 60 minutes from each coast, relax at the beaches of the Gulf or Atlantic coast or perhaps visit the Kennedy Space Centre or Daytona.
